Privacy policy

Paper Scanner processes documents on your device by default. This page describes exactly what is collected, stored, and synced.

1. What we collect

Paper Scanner does not collect document content by default. Scanning, filters, and OCR run entirely on-device. The original image and the recognised text never leave your phone.

2. Cloud sync (Pro)

Cloud sync is a Pro subscription feature. Once enabled, documents are mirrored to your own Google Drive or iCloud Drive. Paper Scanner does not operate a relay server and never holds a copy of your documents.

3. Subscription and billing

Subscriptions are billed through the App Store. We only receive the minimum signal needed to confirm subscription status. We never handle payment credentials.

4. Advertising

Free-tier users see a single ad banner at the top of the Documents list. Subscribing to Pro removes it entirely.

5. Analytics

We do not integrate third-party analytics SDKs. Crash logs and telemetry, if any, stay on your device.
